About Rabbi Ovadia Yosef
Maran Chacham Ovadia Yosef (1920–2013) was a leading Sephardi Torah scholar and halachic authority. Born in Baghdad, he grew up in Jerusalem and served as Israel’s Sephardi Chief Rabbi from 1973 to 1983.
